Fans spotted what Casemiro did during Bruno Fernandes’ goal celebration

Fans spotted what Casemiro did to Bruno Fernandes during his goal celebration in Manchester United’s big win over Burnley.

Fernandes scored the only goal of the game on Saturday as he hit a sensational volley after Jonny Evans’ brilliant pass.

After his Robin van Persie-esque strike, the Portuguese wheeled away in celebration as he performed his trademark gesture.

He was then greeted by his teammates, including Casemiro, who did something a little bizarre amid the celebratory scenes.

The veteran Brazilian midfielder hugged Fernandes and appeared to be praying with his eyes shut.

His actions didn’t go unnoticed by Man United supporters on social media.

One X user wrote: “Same here Casemiro, same here.”

A second said: “What’s Casemiro doing…”

A third added: “We feel the same Casemiro.”

A fourth commented: “That goal had Casemiro moving like a mid-2000s R&B singer recording a music video.”

A fifth joked: “Casemiro praying for Bruno Fernandes after the goal?”

The much-needed win for Erik ten Hag’s team, meanwhile, moves his side into the top half of the Premier League table. They occupy eighth place as they snap their three-game losing streak, having lost to Arsenal, Brighton and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Red Devils return to action next Tuesday as they host Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup, before taking them on again in a league fixture next Saturday.
