On Tuesday evening, Liverpool’s aspirations of qualifying for the Champions League were dealt another setback when they drew against Chelsea.
Following their recent crushing loss to Manchester City, the Reds visited Stamford Bridge hoping to regain their footing.
Jurgen Klopp opted to make several changes to the squad, with key players such as Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold starting on the bench, and Virgil van Dijk being absent due to illness.
Despite their efforts, Liverpool was unable to secure the victory they desperately needed, ultimately drawing 0-0 in west London.
The truth is that the Reds were outplayed at Stamford Bridge and may have been fortunate to come away with a single point.
Jordan Henderson and Alisson Becker clash in Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool
In the 77th minute, tensions boiled over between Liverpool players when Jordan Henderson and Alisson Becker clashed on the field. Kalidou Koulibaly punted a ball forward, which initially seemed like a simple gathering for Alisson.
However, Joel Matip intervened and his poor clearance ended up with Kai Havertz. Havertz set up Joao Felix for a great opportunity, but the Portuguese player missed the mark and the ball flew over the bar.
Moments after this missed opportunity, Henderson and Alisson had a heated exchange, culminating in a physical altercation as the former bumped into the Brazilian goalkeeper.

TalkSPORT commentator Sam Matterface said of the incident:“Alisson and Henderson are now having a proper tear-up, a proper row in the penalty area away to our right.
“Joel Matip is getting involved as well, Liverpool players are losing their heads with one another.”
Stuart Pearce added: “It stems from Saturday, you can see the frustration there and on this occasion you’re looking at such a poor miss [from Felix].”
