Frank Warren says Cristiano Ronaldo is signing for Premier League club after speaking to Al Nassr star

Cristiano Ronaldo is ringside for boxing once again and promoter Frank Warren couldn’t resist a cheeky comment.

Having been in attendance for the super fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, the Al Nassr star is back at the Kingdom Arena for a stacked night of action inside the squared circle.

Ronaldo is ringside for the Day of Reckoning card, which is headlined by Deontay Wilder’s bout with Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua’s clash with Otto Wallin.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner took his seat early and chopped it up with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

But at one stage he was also sat with Warren. And when the cameras panned on the two, the 71-year-old joked that the Manchester United legend is signing for Arsenal.

“He’s [Cristiano] signing for Arsenal!” Warren said, leading to a laugh from Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar’s son was also present and sat behind his famous father in Riyadh.

Ronaldo is a massive fight fan and upon entering the arena, revealed that boxing is his “third” favourite sport.

Back in December 2020, he talked up boxing and UFC, even admitting that he prefers watching it than his own sport.

“Playing football is my passion, but I prefer watching other sports on TV,” he said.

“Between watching a football match or a boxing or UFC fight, I choose boxing or UFC.”

Ronaldo added: “When I was at Manchester United, a coach boxed with me, I think practicing boxing is useful for football because it sharpens your senses and you learn to move.”
