Jordan Pickford produces an unbelievable triple save, including one with his head, against Sheffield Utd

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford executed a heroic triple save to salvage a point against Sheffield United, even using his head in one remarkable moment.

The Toffees secured their first point of the season, securing a 2-2 draw against Paul Heckingbottom’s team, and much credit goes to their goalkeeper for an incredible display in front of the goal.

In the first half, Pickford experienced some misfortune as he conceded an own-goal when Cameron Archer’s shot for the Blades struck the post, rebounded onto Pickford, and ended up in the net.

However, England’s top goalkeeper more than made up for it in the dying moments of stoppage time. He pulled off a magical triple save, first tipping Ollie McBurnie’s header onto the crossbar, then improvising to block the rebound with his head, and finally securing the ball in a chaotic six-yard box.

Speaking for the first time after the game, Pickford toldTNT Sports: “I think there’s a lot of positives there but still a few negatives as a team.

“They got a bit of luck in the second goal, hit me straight on the bonce!”

Discussing his heroics at the end of the game, Pickford explained: “I’m in the moment, we know they’re a threat on set pieces. I’ve got to be switched on, I know it’s the 98th minute the manager said it’s going to be 100-minute matches now so never lack concentration and always be on my A-game.”
