Jurgen Klopp has more than doubled Liverpool’s value since joining club as stunning figures confirmed

It has been revealed that Jurgen Klopp has more than doubled Liverpool’s overall market value since joining the club.

Back in 2015, Klopp was appointed manager after Brendan Rodgers left the Anfield club on the back of a poor run.

Since then, the German has turned Liverpool’s fortunes right around, leading them to the Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and the FA Community Shield.

Last month, Liverpool were rocked by the shock announcement that Klopp will step down as manager when the 23/24 season comes to a close.

It has since been revealed that Klopp has more than doubled Liverpool’s overall market value since stepping through the doors at Anfield.

According toTransfermarkt, Liverpool had an overall value of €375.25 million when Klopp first took over during the 15/16 season.

Fast forward more than eight years, the Reds’ market value currently stands at €868.40 million.

Back then, Klopp’s most valuable asset was forward Roberto Fimino, who had a transfer value of €35 million.

Now, the joint highest-valued player in the Liverpool squad is midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, who joined the club in the summer and winger Luis Diaz, both valued at €75 million.

Local boy and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold is second with a market value of €70 million.

The figures show exactly how good a job Klopp has done since joining the club as he took them from top four challengers to title challengers within three years.

Speaking about his decision to leave the club, Klopp said: “I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.

“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.”
