Lionel Messi scored an absolute rocket of a free-kick in the 93rd minute of his debut for Inter Miami, securing a thrilling 2-1 victory against Cruz Azul.

You couldn’t write a better script for the Argentine as he made his debut for the MLS side, once again proving why he is still the GOAT of the game.

The World Cup winner stepped up after being fouled just outside the box, with the scores tied at 1-1 late in the game.

The free-kick secured Miami’s 2-1 victory in the League Cup against Cruz Azul.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner started on the bench for his new side, entering the pitch in the 53rd minute.
