Yet, just as he seemed poised to execute one of his renowned intricate and evasive runs, the 36-year-old opted for an entirely different approach. With the ball seemingly launched from an immense distance, he let loose a thunderous shot.
As the ball soared from his magical left foot, there was an unmistakable sense that it was destined for the net.
His precision-guided, low, and driven strike effortlessly eluded the Union’s goalkeeper and found its place in the bottom-right corner of the net.
