Travis Scott’s latest album ‘Utopia’ features a reference to global superstar Lionel Messi, showcasing the footballer’s widespread popularity.
The much-awaited fourth studio album by the 32-year-old American rapper comprises 19 tracks.
‘Utopia’ boasts collaborations with an array of renowned artists, including Drake, Beyonce, the Weeknd, SZA, Kid Cudi, Future, Justin Vernon from Bon Iver, Swae Lee, Young Thug, and Sampha.
In terms of the lyrics, Messi gets a shout out as he’s name-dropped in ‘Meltdown’ alongside NFL legend Tom Brady: “The boy going Lionel Messi, I go Tom Brady…”
Fans online hailed the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s influence after discovering the Messi bar.
One Twitter user wrote: “I’ve lost count on how many artists mentioned Messi in their songs.”
A second tweeted: “Best song on the album.”
A third added: “Unreal Influence. Is the celebrity of the celebrities.”
A fourth said: “Messi reference means it’s a 10/10 album.”
Another commented: “Leo Messi’s influence is absolutely incredible.”

The release of Scott’s ‘Utopia’ album comes after the 36-year-old bagged a brace against Atlanta United in his first start for his new team.
He scored a stunning, last-minute free-kick on his Inter Miami debut before starring against Atlanta last Wednesday.
Scott isn’t the only musician who’s a fan of Messi as DJ Khaled, P-Diddy, Camila Cabello and UK rapper Giggs were all in attendance for Inter Miami vs. Atlanta.
The Argentine even walked out with DJ Khaled’s son, who couldn’t stop crying. But he comforted the little lad in a moment he’ll never forget.
