Man United captain Bruno Fernandes linked with shock move to Saudi Arabia

Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a shock move away from Manchester United as Saudi Arabia officials look to meet with his entourage over a proposed transfer.

The Saudi Pro League has managed to secure the services of some of the biggest names in world football following the blockbuster signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The likes of Karim Benzema, Neymar and Riyad Mahrez, among many others, have left Europe for the Middle East.

And Saudi Arabia chiefs remain in the market for the very best players as they look to poach Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Salah and De Bruyne aren’t the only Premier League-based superstars Saudi Arabia officials want as reports claim they are exploring a deal for Man United captain Fernandes.

The 29-year-old, who scored his side’s winner against Fulham last weekend, is a name emerging from the list of potential signings for next summer, according to Italian reporter Rudy Galetti.

It’s believed that representatives from PIF, who have majority stakes in Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli, are set to hold talks with the player over the potential for future negotiations.

Fernandes joined the Old Trafford outfit in January 2020 in a transfer worth up to £66 million.

He’s played 200 games for the club, scoring 67 games and was named Man United captain ahead of this season.
