Manchester United Offered Vinicius Jr In Raphael Varane Negotiations With Real Madrid

Manchester United have reportedly been offered Vinicius Jr by Real Madrid during negotiations over Raphael Varane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the World Cup winner as a top target going into the forthcoming Premier League season, where he hopes to be mounting a more serious title challenge.

Recent reports claim United are edging closer to securing the services of Varane and pairing him with captain Harry Maguire at the heart of their backline.

However while discussing a move for Varane, Real are said to have brought up the availability of Brazil star Vinicius Jr, as per The Mirror.

Los Blancos are desperate to land PSG star Kylian Mbappe, a player whom president Florentino Perez has had this eye on ever since he burst onto the scene with Monaco in 2016/17.

But given they are in such financial difficulty, the 13-time European Champions need to offload players to fund any deal for Mbappe.

In addition to Varane, Real have notified United about Vinicius. The La Liga side want at least £68.5million for the 21-year-old. but United, who have just paid £73 million to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, would prefer a loan with an option to buy.

He’s made 118 appearances for Real, scoring 15 goals and winning La Liga in 2019/20.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports say United are close to agreeing personal terms with Varane and his representatives and are hopeful of settling on a fee with Real.
