Marcus Rashford has been sent off for Manchester United against Copenhagen.
On Wednesday night, United arrived at the Parken Stadium in a bid to take a step closer to the last-16 in the Champions League.
United are currently third in Group A after losing to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray. A narrow win against Copenhagen last time out kept their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.
United got off to a perfect start after summer signing Rasmus Hojlund scored inside three minutes to make it 1-0. 12 minutes later, the Danish striker was in the right place at the right time to make it 2-0 after Alejandro Garnacho’s left foot shot was parried by Copenhagen goalkeeper Kamil Grabara.
However, in the 42nd minute, United were reduced to 10 men after Rashford was shown a red card after a lengthy VAR check.
The Englishman lost control of the ball and caught the Copenhagen player on the leg. As a result, he will miss United’s crucial match against Galatasaray.

A few minutes later, Copenhagen got themselves back into the match after former Southampton man Mohamed Elyounoussi finished off a fine move.
Deep into injury time at the end of the first half, Copenhagen were given a golden opportunity to draw level after Harry Maguire was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the penalty area.
Andre Onana managed to save a last-gasp penalty at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture but was unable to deny Diogo Goncalves who sent the United goalkeeper the wrong way.
