Rasmus Hojlund’s debut for Man United against Arsenal has gone viral

A viral compilation has emerged featuring Rasmus Hojlund’s cameo appearance against Arsenal on Sunday.

Hojlund made his debut for Manchester United after his £72 million summer transfer from Atalanta.

However, his team endured a disappointing 3-1 loss, marking the second defeat in just four Premier League games for the Red Devils, with a previous 2-0 loss to Tottenham last month in North London.

Rasmus Hojlund’s performance at the Emirates has garnered excitement from Erik ten Hag and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville.

The 20-year-old entered the match just after the hour mark and immediately left an impression with his physicality, engaging in duels with Arsenal’s Gabriel.

Inside the penalty area, he came close to attempting a flicked shot on goal after Marcus Rashford created an opening. Additionally, he made a run towards the goal but was thwarted by Gabriel, with Ten Hag believing there was a foul.

The young Dane also displayed excellent chemistry with Casemiro, as he received a threaded pass from the Brazilian midfielder and assisted Alejandro Garnacho, who slotted the ball into the net. Unfortunately, VAR later ruled out Garnacho’s goal.

Hojlund’s outing against Arsenal impressed Ten Hag, who hailed his performance after the result.

“I thought he was very good, he made a big impact,” said the Dutch boss. “But, I also want to give credit to Martial, I thought he was very good, too. There are promising signs for us.”

Neville also heaped praise on the Man United starlet, stating he could be the answer to the club’s search for a prolific forward.

“Manchester United haven’t had a striker that they can hit. That’s the problem,” he said on Sky Sports.

“Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t a classic targetman, Martial’s certainly not, Rashford’s not. At least they’ve got someone who looks he’ll mess people around and get his body in there. He’s aggressive, and he’s a runner.

“The thing for him is he’s learning the game still. He’s only played a couple of seasons of top level football and we’re expected him to be Erling Haaland. That’s the problem.

“Manchester United haven’t got anyone else with experience to back him up. We’ve been watching Martial for 9-10 years at Manchester United and he’s not what Erik ten Hag wants. This lad, lot of pressure on him, big price tag, but it was an encouraging start.”
