The Heart-Warming Moment Mason Mount Gave His England Shirt To A Young Girl In The Crowd

As if England progressing to the final of Euro 2020 wasn’t enough, this team are not only incredible footballers but excellent role models for the younger generation. Just as Mason Mount showed after the Denmark match on Wednesday.

Marcus Rashford was awarded an MBE for his contribution in securing free school meals for disadvantaged children during school holidays. Collectively, players took the knee in solidarity for the Black Lives Matter campaign.

The latest of England’s role models is Mount. The video below shows Mount leaping over the sponsor boards to gift his winning shirt to a young fan.

This thoughtful gesture was greatly received by the young girl, who was seen screaming with joy as she embraced her father.

England fans could be seen applauding Mount’s gesture of goodwill and offered congratulatory pats on the back to the young girl.

Following an impressive display in this year’s Euros, Mount has solidified himself as a fan-favourite, with his performances on and off the pitch speaking volumes.

England came from 1-0 down to beat Denmark 2-1 in extra time, with Harry Kane’s controversial penalty in the 104th minute proving the deciding moment in the match.

This is the first final of a major international tournament that England have reached since the 1966 World Cup.

Gareth Southgate’s side will now face Italy on Sunday in the final of Euro 2020.
