Erling Haaland warmed hearts on Sunday as he looked after Kevin De Bruyne’s sons during Manchester City’s title winning celebrations.
City lifted their third Premier League in a row and their fifth in six years at the weekend after beating Chelsea, having been crowned champions on Saturday followingArsenal‘s loss to Nottingham Forest.
After the game at the Etihad, the City players welcomed their families onto the pitch to celebrate their title, and Haaland was seen giving one youngster his Premier League medal – at least temporarily. But he was then greeted by two of De Bruyne’s children.
Haaland and De Bruyne have struck up quite the relationship on the pitch, with both players breaking records in the Premier League this season. While Haaland has broken the record for the most goals scored in a Premier League season, De Bruyne became the fastest player to 100 assists in the division, with a fair chunk of those teeing up the Norwegian.
Unseen footage has now shown two of De Bruyne’s sons approaching the forward before being greeted with a hug.
De Bruyne’s eldest, Mason, initially appeared sad that Haaland had handed his medal to someone else rather than him. Haaland responded with a sarcastic sad face, before crouching and asking for a hug. The youngster obliged before De Bruyne’s second oldest of his three children, Rome, ran in for a hug too.

De Bruyne and his partner Michele have three children, with the third, Suri, less than a year old and born in September last year.
While the Belgian is nowhere to see in the footage, his positive relationship with Haaland off the field is clear to see with the forward dubbed “Uncle Haaland” on TikTok.
The City players will play two more Premier League games before two cup finals in their bid to win the treble, with Manchester United to play in the FA Cup final and Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
