Barcelona Are Trying An Unusual Swap Deal For Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix

Barcelona are allegedly interested in Atletico Madrid kid Joao Felix and are eager to swap him Antoine Griezmann within an outrageous move.

The Frenchman arrived in the Camp Nou from Atletico back in 2019 – that subsequently used those funds to procure a bargain for Felix out of Benfica.

But Griezmann has not lived up to expectations using the Blaugrana plus they have gone two successive seasons without winning La Liga.

TV3 have promised that a swap deal is’financially workable’ for the 2 clubs since the set are thought to be about similar salaries.

Felix’s present representative is Jorge Mendes along with the super agent could find a way to engineer a move because of his client.

Barcelona are seeking to reestablish their frontline after letting Luis Suarez to join Atletico past summer – a move which has seen the Uruguayan prove his doubters wrong.

Atletico sit top of La Liga going into the final day and Suarez has scored 20 goals this campaign.

Lionel Messi remains the figurehead in assault, but signing up Felix and subsequently playing adolescent Ansu Fati will give it a youthful feel.

Felix has just managed 13 goals in the previous two seasons and has not played a complete game since March.

Despite this, manager Diego Simeone worries the 21-year-old has an integral part in his side.

He stated per Daily Mail: “We hope that when Joao Felix is involved, he will give us what he can and show how important he is.

“The team needs him.

“As for Luis, we are now entering Suarez territory. It is the ideal time for a footballer like him to find the solutions to what we might encounter. He’s used to this kind of game.”

Victory over Real Valladolid on Sunday will confirm Atletico as champions ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Last weekend was full of drama as Atletico sealed a stunning last-gasp win against Osasuna, while Madrid squeezed past Bilbao thanks to a second-half goal from Nacho Fernandez.
