Antoine Griezmann Tells Kylian Mbappe He Signed Him For Newcastle On Football Manager, He Responds Hilariously

Antoine Griezmann revealed all about his current Football Manager save, including telling teammate Kylian Mbappe he brought him to Newcastle in a whopping €134 million deal.

The Barcelona forward is an FM addict and has been getting stuck into the Sports Interactive game while on international duty with France ahead of Euro 2020.

In a video filmed on France’s official channels, Griezmann is on the plane with his laptop out and talking to colleague and fellow FM super-fan Ousmane Dembele about his exploits.

He explained to the Barcelona winger that in one year with Newcastle, he led the club to a whopping five trophies – including the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in a stellar season.

He then brings Mbappe into the conversation, telling the PSG sensation about signing him virtually. The 22-year-old’s reaction was priceless, as he replied: “Newcastle, where? It’s not very warm there eh?”.

I’m more interested in Antoine Griezmann managing Newcastle United on Football Manager than I am Steve Bruce managing Newcastle United in real life.

Griezmann loves managing in England on the game, having previously been in charge of Arsenal. A couple of years back, the former Atletico Madrid man showed off his Arsenal side in 2023 and it contained a whole lot of interesting names.

Operating in a 4-3-2-1 formation, his club teammates Frenkie De Jong and Francisco Trincao were in the starting XI alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Raphael Varane, Matthijs de Ligt, Jadon Sancho, Andy Robertson and Joao Felix.

Selections on his bench include Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz, Ruben Neves and Chris Mepham of Bournemouth.

We know Mbappe is a key part of his Newcastle side but we’re desperate for Griezmann to give us a complete walkthrough of his Magpies squad.
