Former Liverpool Star Claims He Will ‘Jump In Pool Naked Live On Instagram’ If Kylian Mbappe Signs For The Reds

Former Liverpool star Jose Enrique hilariously claimed that he would leap into a “pool naked live on Instagram” if Kylian Mbappe signed for the Premier League club.

Mbappe’s long-term future in the French capital has been plunged into doubt ahead of his Paris Saint-Germain deal expiring in 2022.

According to reports in France, the 22-year-old PSG superstar could leave the Ligue 1 side this summer after snubbing a new contract.

PSG are desperate to keep hold of Mbappe after their stunning acquisition of Lionel Messi, but they could be forced to sell him this summer to avoid letting him walk on a free transfer.

The France international has been closely linked with Real Madrid for some time, but RMC Sport reports that an unnamed English club are interested in signing Mbappe.

RMC Sport added that PSG have tabled a five-year contract to Mbappe, which would include the option to extend his stay by another year.

However, the new deal would see the 2018 World Cup winner being PSG’s third highest-paid player behind club teammates Neymar and Messi.

Enrique, who spent five years at Anfield, still has a strong affinity with Liverpool and couldn’t hold back his excitement about a potential Mbappe transfer to the Reds.

The 35-year-old Spaniard wrote on Instagram: “If this happens and [it] is us who sign him, I’m actually going to jump in the pool naked live on Instagram.”

Speculation over Mbappe’s future at PSG continues to mount ahead of the transfer window closing on 31st August, with the Madrid target reportedly ‘not following up’ on the club’s offer.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has urged his fellow countryman to snub interest from Madrid and stay at PSG.

He told Amazon Prime: “I don’t know what is happening with Kylian Mbappe.

“We can always speculate and say a lot of things. Me, what I see is that he is still there, that he is training, he is walking, he is running and he is trying to create chances for his teammates.

“He scores, I know that well. He is a player who is also honouring his contract, he is doing nothing bad and he is responding on the pitch, so be happy.

“Like I often say, with an exceptional player we are always looking for the little things wrong. I hope that he will stay at PSG, I hope that he will be good and we will see after for what the future will bring him because it is normal to evaluate things.

“But is he lacking in respect towards someone? No, I have not yet seen that. He is there, he is present and he is even playing well.”
