FIFA 22 Icons List Leak: Huge New Names Coming To Ultimate Team Revealed

According to some leaks on social media, at least five new Icons could be coming to FIFA 22 with some huge names on show.

In the last few years, new Icons have been added to the game – such as David Beckham arriving in a shock Christmas update – and with FIFA 21 seemingly getting stale, fans are now looking ahead to who will be added in the next instalment.

Now just months away from the games’ release, all eyes are turning to new inclusions that are set to be included later this year – with some leaks pointing at the likes of England‘s all-time record goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

And with Wazza now officially retired, we reckon there’s a pretty good probability that he will be among other icons in FIFA 22, but who else will be joining him?

Well, according to @FutWatch on Twitter, EA has updated its code to add five new icons and, as well as Rooney, they claim that Iker Casillas, Cafu, Robin van Persie and Alfredo di Stefano will also be available to play with. How’s that for a star-studded card?

As of yet, however, we are unable to confirm that this is entirely accurate, but will be sure to update you as more information comes to light.

As well as the new Icons, EA have supposedly added files on an ‘Icons Club’ and ‘FUT Heroes Club’.

Perhaps this means that a much larger pool of Icons are coming than we might have expected? For now, though, we will just have to wait and see.

Fans of the FIFA franchise could expect to see more on the upcoming title at EA Play Live, which will kick off on 22nd July at 6pm BST.

According to reports, FIFA 22 is expected to launch in either September or early October and will likely come to PlayStation 5Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCNintendo Switch and Google Stadia.
