Leonardo Bonucci Brutally Trolls England Fans By Telling Them To ‘Eat More Pasta’ After Italy’s Euro 2020 Win

 

Italy vice-captain Leonardo Bonucci continued to torment devastated England fans by telling them to “eat more pasta” during his side’s triumphant lap of honour.

Roberto Mancini’s men extended their current unbeaten run to 34 matches after Italy defeated England on penalties in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley on Sunday.

Bonucci, who forged a formidable partnership with Giorgio Chiellini for Italy, mocked England fans after his side secured the Euro 2020 title.

The 34-year-old Italian star was caught screaming ‘it’s coming to Rome’ down the camera in reference to England fans’ iconic ‘it’s coming home’ slogan.

Bonucci continued to pull no punches towards the Three Lions supporters when Italy took their lap of honour at Wembley.

The Juventus vice-captain shouted: “More pasta! We need to eat more pasta!”

Italy mounted a sensational comeback against England after Luke Shaw stunned Mancini’s men with the opener inside the first two minutes.

Bonucci rose to the occasion in the second half as he cancelled out Shaw’s opener, with Italy building momentum and confidence against England as the match went on.

Domenico Berardi, Bonucci and Federico Bernardeschi all stepped up for the penalty shootout and successfully converted their respective spot-kicks.

However, Andrea Belotti and Jorginho could only watch on as their penalties were saved by Jordan Pickford.

Harry Kane and Harry Maguire were among England’s penalty takers and successfully scored past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the shootout.

However, Marcus Rashford missed his penalty for England before Donnarumma saved both Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka’s spot-kick efforts.

Speaking after Italy’s win, Bonucci admitted that beating England in the final and lifting the Euro 2020 title was the “icing on the cake that makes us legends.”

The Juventus defender told Rai Sport: “A historic goal is a dream come true and the credit goes to the coach, the whole squad.

“When we got together in Sardinia, there was something different compared to the past.

“We slowly gained confidence, certainty, unity. This was the icing on the cake that makes us legends.”
