Lionel Messi Was Absolutely Hounded By Fans Outside Restaurant In Miami

Lionel Messi was absolutely mobbed by fans who found out where he was eating in Miami, Florida.

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner is spending time in the sunshine state after winning his first international trophy with Argentina last week.

Messi will have been hoping for a relaxing break with family but that’s not quite what he got as fans got wind of where he was having dinner.

Footage has been posted of Messi leaving a restaurant at night and being bombarded by supporters outside. The 34-year-old had to be escorted through the lively crowd and it looked like a real challenge to get him through.

After winning Copa América with Argentina, Lionel Messi is evidently on vacation in Miami. Hope he wasn’t expecting peace and quiet 👀

Messi’s other half had earlier posted a picture of him chilling out and sunbathing in what looked like a secluded area, yet the privacy went out the window when he was dining.

Messi took a private jet from his hometown from Rosario to Buenos Aires with his father so he could visit the American embassy and secure the necessary that would allow him to enter the United States.

He then returned to Rosario to collect his wife Antonella and three kids before they jetted off to Miami.

Although an agreement is said to be close, Messi has still not signed a new contract with Barcelona and is therefore a free agent at this moment in time.

He has been linked with a move to Inter Miami in the future, with managing owner Jorge Mas confident he and David Beckham can secure his services.

“David and I have been working really hard, we have aspirations of bringing the best players here and Leo Messi is a generational player, arguably the best player of all time,” Mas told the Miami Herald, as per MLS Soccer.

“I am optimistic Messi will play in an Inter Miami shirt because I think it will complete the legacy of the greatest player in our generation and will meet with the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world class team.”

Messi has reportedly already bought a £7.25 million apartment in Miami and has expressed interest in playing in America.

“I would like to play in the United States and experience life and the league there, but ultimately come back to Barcelona in some capacity,” he told La Sexta in December.

“I’m not thinking too far ahead in the short term and just want to see how the season finishes.”
