Harry Kane To Manchester City Still On As £127m Bid Set To Be Made

Manchester City are reportedly poised to smash the British transfer record for Harry Kane before the transfer window shuts – if Tottenham Hotspur agree to let the wantaway striker leave this summer.

Throughout the transfer window, Spurs have stood firm by Kane’s not-for-sale tag, despite the forward’s overwhelming desire to leave for City.

Last month, Spurs turned down a £100m offer from the Premier League champions, but City look poised to come in with a new and improved offer, believed to be in the region of £127m, according to the Guardian.

Pep Guardiola confirmed last Friday that Manchester City want to sign Harry Kane

Pep Guardiola confirmed last Friday that City want to bring in Kane, widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, in a sensational move that would smash the British transfer record they set by signing Jack Grealish for £100m last week.

“If Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it’s finished,” the Spaniard affirmed to a flood of reporters at a City press conference.

“If they are open to negotiate, I think not just Man City, but many clubs in the world want to try and sign him.”

Kane is trying to force a move through to City, but the England captain has three years left on his contract, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy unlikely to sell the 28-year-old.

Amid intense transfer speculation, Kane did not show up for training earlier this week – much to the surprise of many.

Kane had reportedly angered Tottenham for extending his holiday, travelling to Florida from the Bahamas.

New Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo is yet to speak to his main man since his appointment, with the situation less than ideal going into the new campaign.

Ironically enough, Spurs start the season with a home game against City, who are desperate to sign Kane as Sergio Aguero’s replacement, but will they get their man? Watch this space.
