Well, the Old Trafford legend could reclaim his famous number seven shirt.
That’s according to Ferdinand who seemed to claim that Edinson Cavani – the current holder of the number seven shirt – has given it to Ronaldo.
While Premier League rules state a player is not allowed to switch shirt numbers during a season, a loophole could see the 36-year-old sport the number seven shirt as the Uruguayan has yet to feature this campaign.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former Man United defender revealed: “Just to think Cavani could be the back-up for Ronaldo, it’s unbelievable.
“Cavani, I have to say, what a man. He saw who was coming to town and gave up the No.7 shirt.”
He added: “Maybe? I don’t know. Does he do that or not? At the end of the day, you know what the problem might be is that the shirts have been registered, maybe.
