BREAKING: Manchester City Make Offer To Sign Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester City have been offered the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo as the forward looks to seal a move away from Turin.

In the transfer window where we have seen Lionel Messi leave Barcelona, we may see even more drama as Ronaldo is strongly linked with a return to the Premier League.

Since the end of last season, there have been rumours that the Portuguese superstar is unhappy in Turin and has been searching for a new club.

It has also been widely reported that Juventus are prepared to sell Ronaldo in order to get his £500,000 a week ages off their books as the club have suffered serious financial problems in recent years.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo’s super agent Jorge Mendes has arrived in Italy to try organise a move away from Juventus.

Romano said: “Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Mendes is in Torino. He’s looking for options for Ronaldo – PSG are not interested.

“Mendes approached Manchester City to sign Ronaldo – still NO bid. Juventus want €30m, Man City are not intentioned to pay any fee & want to keep Gabriel Jesus.”

There are widespread reports in Italy that Manchester City are interested in bringing the former Manchester United player into their squad on a free transfer and have offered him a salary of £12.8 million per week on a two year contract.

However, after paying over £100 million for the forward, Juventus are looking to get back a smaller fee in exchange for the player.

Ronaldo did not start for Juventus on the weekend and Sky Sports in Italy claimed that the player asked for this as he is pushing for an exit before the end of the transfer window.

However, Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved was very relaxed about this situation when he asked on the weekend: “We mustn’t try to create sensational stories where there aren’t any. It was a decision shared with the player.

“At the start of the season, naturally he is not at top fitness. The coach is trying to use the best line-up at this moment, for example Giorgio Chiellini is also on the bench today.

“The decisions were made to be most competitive today. I can absolutely confirm Ronaldo will remain at Juventus this season.”
