PSG Consider Selling Kylian Mbappe And Replacing Him With Everton Forward

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering the possibility of selling Kylian Mbappe this summer after the Frenchman has rejected a new five year contract this month, according to RMC Sport.

Since Mbappe’s return to Paris after a disappointing Euro 2020, there have been several reports that the young superstar is unhappy at the club as he has now set his sights on joining Real Madrid.

As a result, RMC Sport have revealed that PSG are now starting to consider selling Mbappe this summer as they fear that losing him on a free next year would be disastrous after signing him for £130.5 million in 2018.

There were some hopes that PSG’s huge ambition in the transfer market with the signings of Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum would tempt Mbappe to stay in the French capital yet this hasn’t seemingly worked.

Surprisingly, there is one unnamed English club who has made an offer for Mbappe yet it seems that Real Madrid are waiting to make their move which would be preferable for the World Cup winner.

If Mbappe leaves in the next two weeks, PSG have lined up Neymar’s Brazilian teammate Richarlison as a potential replacement.

Despite all these reports, when Mauricio Pochettino was asked about Mbappe’s future last week, he said: “I think he’s very good, he’s working hard to have a good season. As I’ve said in recent weeks, Kylian is our player and I don’t see why he wouldn’t be with us this season.

“This period is part of football, a lot of things are said, some things happen and others never do.

“The most important thing is that Kylian is very calm. He has a year left on his contract, he’s a PSG player. We’re happy with him and, from what I see, he’s also happy with us.”
