Journalists Turn Into Fanboys And Chant ‘Messi, Messi’ During Lionel Messi’s Presser

 

Even journalists are excited about Paris Saint-Germain signing Lionel Messi, with reporters chanting his name at his press conference.

Messi addressed the media after completing his blockbuster free transfer to PSG.

He spoke about his decision to join the French giants and his goals for the upcoming season while talking up his new teammates.

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner was joined by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who also answered questions during the presser on Wednesday.

The presser then ended to chants of ‘Messi, Messi’ and ‘Vamos Leo’ started by his compatriot Omar da Fonseca in extraordinary scenes.

Messi, Al-Khelaifi and PSG sporting director Leonardo then posed for pictures, with the Argentine forward holding up his new shirt.

Speaking at his press conference, Messi revealed that his main objective is to win the Champions League.

He said: “This team is ready. There are some new transfers, but they have been close and are ready (to win the Champions League).

“I have just come here to help. My dream is to win this trophy again and I think Paris is the best place to do so.”

On PSG fans welcoming him to the club, he added: “I am really grateful to the people in the street.

“I was in Barcelona when the press told about that and I have seen things from Spain and people were already out in the streets. It is incredible.

“I want to thank them and I want to see them in the city and the stadium.

“It will be an incredible year.”
