‘Free Mbappe’ – Rival Fans Taunt PSG After Kylian Mbappe’s Reaction To Being Substituted

Rival fans want Kylian Mbappe ‘freed’ from Paris Saint-Germain following his reaction to being substituted during his side’s win over Brest.

Mbappe started and scored for PSG on Friday as they beat Brest 4-2 in a convincing win.

The 22-year-old, who has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer, bagged PSG’s second goal in the first half.

He headed home from inside the box to open his goal account for the new season.

He was always going to be on the score sheet 😌

But it wasn’t all plain sailing for Mbappe, whose night was cut short in the 80th minute – with Mauricio Pochettino replacing him with Angel Di Maria.

The Frenchman did NOT look pleased with his manager’s decision, cutting a frustrated figure as he trudged off the pitch.

And fans noticed his mood on the bench, with ‘Free Mbappe’ trending on Twitter amid Real Madrid and Manchester United transfer talk.

Benzema in 2017:

“Mbappé will need to establish himself in the long term. I made my debut in Lyon’s first team aged 17 – I scored my first UCL goal and became Ligue 1’s topscorer.”

Speaking before PSG’s clash with Brest, Pochettino claimed Mbappe is ‘happy’ at PSG.

He said: “I think Mbappe is in very good spirits. He is really motivated to have a good season.

“He is a PSG player, he is happy with us.

“What we are thinking, as I have been saying, is that Kylian is our player and I do not see that he is not here in the season that we started a couple of weeks ago.

“The truth is that I like this period (of the transfer window still being open, that I take it with humour, being positive. This period is part of football.

“There are things that are said and spoken, from experience – some things may or may not be true, but many are not.”
